Service of L&R Meters

ZLS Corporation’s facility is equipped to service and repair L&R land and ZLS upgraded Air/Sea meters.  Repair of L&R gravity meters is quoted at a fixed rate per hour for labor, plus parts.  Servicing of gravity meters is quoted at a fixed price according to meter type.

Service of L&R Gravity Meters

Minor Service for L&R Land and Earth Tide Meters (every 3 to 5 years)

This service is recommended for L&R land and earth tide meters that have been serviced by ZLS within the last 3 to 5 years.  Turnaround time is usually two to four weeks but varies depending on the work load at ZLS.  Repairs if necessary are quoted at a fixed rate per hour for labor, plus parts.  Minor service includes the following:

  • Set levels
  • Meter testing and evaluation
  • Changing of seals
  • Adjust sensor to factory specifications
  • Additional meter testing2-day leak test minimum
  • Backfill sensor with dry nitrogen
  • Seal sensor
  • Field/calibration check
  • Package for shipment

Major Service for L&R Land and Earth Tide Meters (every 5 to 10 years)

This service is recommended for L&R land and earth tide meters that have not been serviced by ZLS.  The service is also recommend for meters that have been serviced by ZLS within the last 5 to 10 years.  Turnaround time is usually four to six  weeks but varies depending on the work load at ZLS.  Repairs if necessary are quoted at a fixed rate per hour for labor, plus parts.  Major service includes the following:

  • Set levels
  • Meter testing and evaluation
  • Cleaning of sensor
  • Gear-box cleaning, changing of bearings and re-lubricating
  • Changing of seals
  • Adjust sensor to factory specifications
  • Additional meter testing2-day leak test minimum
  • Backfill sensor with dry nitrogen
  • Seal sensor
  • Field/calibration check
  • Package for shipment

Service of ZLS Upgraded L&R S Meters

Minor S-Meter Sensor Service (every 3 to 5 years)

ZLS UltraSys™ Upgraded L&R S-Meters Only

This service is recommended for ZLS upgraded S-Meters that have been upgraded or serviced by ZLS within the last 3 to 5 years.  Turnaround time is usually two to four weeks but varies depending on the work load at ZLS.  Repairs if necessary are quoted at a fixed rate per hour for labor, plus parts.   ZLS Upgraded S – Meter Minor service includes the following:

  • Set levels
  • Static meter testing and evaluation
  • Changing of seals
  • Adjust sensor to factory specifications
  • Additional meter testing
  • Leak test
  • Backfill sensor with dry nitrogen
  • Seal sensor
  • Package for shipment

Major S-Meter Sensor Service (every 5 to 10 years)

ZLS UltraSys™ Upgraded L&R S-Meters Only

This service is recommended for ZLS upgraded S -Meters that have been upgraded or serviced by ZLS within the last 5 to 10 years.  Turnaround time is usually four to six weeks* but varies depending on the work load at ZLS.  Repairs if necessary are quoted at a fixed rate per hour for labor, plus parts. ZLS Upgraded S – Meter Major service includes the following:

  • Set levels
  • Meter testing, both static and dynamic, and evaluation
  • Cleaning of sensor
  • Gear-box cleaning, changing of bearings, and re-lubricating
  • Changing of seals
  • Adjust sensor to factory specifications
  • Adjust dampers for optimal cross-coupling
  • Additional meter testing, both static and dynamic
  • Leak test
  • Backfill sensor with dry nitrogen
  • Seal sensor
  • Package for shipment

*Turnaround time is dependent on the extent of damper adjustments.
